Retrofitting Non-Domestic
The Shard, in the background, is the UK's tallest building. It was completed in 2013 and its embodied carbon is 1,370 tonnes.
It is said to have a lifespan 60 years!
In the foreground to the left we have the Hop Exchange This was built in 1866 and has therefore spent all its carbon.
PAS 2038 is applicable to both buildings.

Damp in Buildings – including a new methodology* - 1 day course
ONLINE – 22nd November 2021
Damp is the biggest problem in buildings and in this course there will be a focus on the theory behind moisture and dampness along with the methods of detection and the way it should be properly treated. The course also includes the new draft *methodology agreed between the RICS and others - the course is delivered by a co-author of this methodology.
